Superbowl Champ Crowned!

Good job Amy Grimes, manager of the Monroe Graders. She has won the coveted k-town fantasy football t-shirt! Way to go.

Amy was able to hold off a hard-charging JP on Sunday night football. For those that missed the fantasy football game of the century, JP came into Sunday night football (Panthers vs. Giants) with a 36-point deficit and one more guy on his roster yet to play - Deangelo Williams. Most commentators had already awarded Amy the trophy, but Deangelo Williams said, "Wait a minute, this ain't over yet!" He proceeded to put on a fantasy football virtuoso performance, scoring 4 touchdowns (that is 100% of the offense for the Panthers). At the end of the 4th quarter, Williams had 33 fantasy points and Amy was sweating bullets big time. But it doesn't stop there, because much to Amy's dismay, the game went into Overtime, i.e. another quarter for Williams to gain more fantasy points! But Deangelo could only muster up one more fantasy point in the overtime period as the Giants went on to win and the Panthers and consequently JP Morrow ended up losers. Final score 96-94!

Had Amy not made the last minute decision to bench her season long QB Aaron Rodgers in favor of the volatile Matt Cassel, she would have lost the Superbowl. It was a risky play, but it paid off, which goes to show that you should take risks in life and follow your dreams!
